City of York & North Yorkshire Domestic Abuse Training

Our training has been developed by experts, informed by over 40 years of practice, providing specialist
support to thousands of victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
The following training courses have been jointly commissioned by North Yorkshire County Council and
City of York Council, therefore are specific to professionals working within the North Yorkshire and City of
York areas.

Training Courses details

• Sept 12th – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Sept 27th – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm

• Oct 4th – Supporting older victims of domestic abuse – 10am – 1pm
• Oct 6th – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Oct 17th – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Oct 20th – Substance Misuse and Domestic Abuse – 10am – 1pm
• Oct 25th – Trauma and how it affects Domestic Abuse victims – 12 noon – 2pm

• Nov 1st – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Nov 10th – Supporting young people and domestic abuse – 10am – 1pm
• Nov 11th – Supporting people with mental ill health and domestic abuse – 1pm – 4pm
• Nov 18th – Safeguarding children and domestic abuse – 10am – 3pm
• Nov 21st – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Nov 28th – Coercive and controlling behaviour – 1pm – 4pm

• Dec 2nd – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Dec 6th – Supporting male victims of domestic abuse – 1pm – 4pm
• Dec 9th – Supporting LGBTQ+ people impacted by domestic abuse – 10am – 1pm
• Dec 14th – Domestic abuse signs, indicators, DASH and MARAC – 10am – 3pm
• Dec 19th – Safeguarding children and domestic abuse – 12noon – 2pm
