We have brought together a number of resources relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking that you can access on our dedicated COVID-19 webpage here
These include a rapid read guide from the NHS with details of the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) as well as information on where you or someone you are worried about can get support. This is for both adults and children.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) may be particularly worrying to migrants, asylum seekers and refugees,
not only those who are social housing tenants but the many living in the private rented sector or in asylum accommodation. Worst affected are likely to be those who are sleeping rough or sofa-surfing, especially if they can’t access housing or benefits because they have ‘no recourse to public funds’ (known as ‘NRPF’).
The Chartered Institute of Housing have put together a helpful factsheet ‘Working with migrants and refugees during the COVID-19 crisis’ which you can access on our COVID-19 webpage. For the most up to date information from CIH you can visit their website www.cih.org
For more COVID-19 resources, guidance, support and information, you can also visit the Helen Bamber Foundation website here
